Developing an Education-career guidance curriculum framework in the Iranian public education system

Abstract

The current research was conducted with the aim of developing the curriculum framework of academic-career guidance in the Iranian public education system. In terms of its purpose, this research is among the research and development studies that were conducted using a mixed approach of sequential exploratory type. Data collection was done by descriptive-analytical method in two steps. In the first step, in order to identify and explain the dimensions and components of the curriculum framework of academic-career guidance, using the entry and exit criteria of the systematic review method, 81 international study sources from among all the books, articles, research reports, and authentic documents in the field of academic guidance curriculum He was selected in the period between 2001-2022. In the second part and interviewing, 15 people were selected from among the experts using the available criterion sampling method. The method of data collection in the systematic review section was library type, and in the quantitative section, the interview worksheet was also used. Data analysis was also done in the systematic review section, using data analysis steps through open, central, and selective coding. The framework validation data was also analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical tests.
